Success

After a make up free week of zero chemicals on my face, it has finally returned to normal.  Too bad Ireland experienced summer this week - I assume that's us done for the year. Some lovely things I picked up along the way:

Aqueous Cream BP:  This was given to me last weekend by the chemist for my horribly burnt skin and it's wonderful, widely available and cheap as chips.  Usually prescribed for Eczema, it worked a treat to bring my skin back to normal. There have been reports questioning it's effectiveness for skin issues, but I didn't experience any negative side effects. It doubles as a cleanser & now has a permanent place on my every changing skin care regime.  Lash it on & cover with a warm (clean) face cloth and relax as the day's dirt (& stress) just washes away.  I can confirm that make up also melts away.

Coconut Oil:  I already said this was wonderful but it really is!!!!  Oh my god my hair is so soft.  Note - do not confuse it with surgical spirits as I did.  My hair did not like that.

Eau Thermale Avene Clean-Ac:  It's a specially formulated cream for people undergoing treatment for acne.  They've a whole range but it's SUPER expensive so I could only afford the thermal spray for those dry attacks and the moisturiser for morning moisture.

Lush Dream Cream: I've had to carry around a tub of this stuff all week to moisture on the go - so weird but it's got to be done!  It pretty much has nothing in it that can harm me so it's all good.

Eye Drops: I cannot go anywhere without them!  My eyes are so scratchy!!!  It may have been because I put eyelash glue in my eye instead on Weds but perhaps not.  Maybe these tablets are making me stupid...

Bon Iver: Nothing and nobody beats Bon Iver for some chill magical beauty.  I heard this cover this morning and it's been on repeat ever since.  My next project will be to learn the piano.

Other than the initial side-effects, everything else has been grand.  None of the horror stories I'd read have happens and my skin is clearing up nicely.  I still have those little purple/red dots deep under my skin but otherwise I've returned to normality!

  1. Ovelle Aqueous Cream is quite sensational. I have tried about fifteen different aqueous creams from various pharmacies and the Ovelle one wins hands down. If you can get your hands on it you should definitely try it. Added bonus from bacteria weirdos like myself because you can get it in a tube too!
