Everyone leaves the country as soon as we get Instagram on Android

Did you know that when on your computer, if you select 'download' in the Play store (formerly Market), the app wil download to your phone?? Witchcraft!  I got a great app for Android called Cardio Trainer.  It logs your running times, distance AND calories!  I find it very motivating when I've an actual time to beat.  I've 7 weeks left to be in fighting form for the Mini Marathon.  I'm running for the Laura Lynn House (Sunshine House). I'll pop a link to my mycharity.ie account closer to the time should any one wish to donate to this wonderful & very worthy children's' charity.  Anything I raise will be matched by my company so if I raise €200, the total amount donated will be €400.  Excellent.

It's been an insanely busy few weeks in which 3 of best friends joined the rest of our generation and left the country.  Ciaran & Hannah finally jetted off to Calgary on Tuesday and I'm devastated.  I'll miss them so much.  We gave them a totally awesome send off though.  We'd a girl day watching disney films, a quiet dinner in Hannah's, a drive of death through the Wicklow mountains followed by dinner in the lovely Johnny Foxes pub :)   On Easter Sunday, the Ferns household played host to a FANTASTIC going away party followed by a super epic night in the Village.  On Monday we went for a quiet dinner in the Half Way and held back the tears with a stiff upper lip.  Note:  Holding back lasted all of 10 seconds.  I wish them all the best and hope they're settling in well.  I'm looking forward to the next installment of Hannah's blog so we can see what they're up to!!
Days later the 3 musketeers were separated as Peter jetted off to Japan on his 23rd birthday. I have no idea what Petey's gonna do over there but I can only imagine it'll be debaucherous.  I'm making it my business to visit everyone before the year is over.  Pretty soon I'm going to be the only one left!!

We started our engineering degree with enthusiastic high hopes only to finish it with broken promises followed by early summer graduation to get out of the country asap.   Most of my class are currently dotted around the UK with many positioned in Australia & Canada.  A few secured PHDs & MScs but for most, jobs were not found and working in Centra isn't exactly paying the bills. Canada seems to be the best option.  To be honest I'm starting to look that way myself.  Ireland's very depressing these days.  This constant talk of Nama, rising debt, failing EuroZone does little to instil confidence in our youth.  One thing I loved about Canada was how positive everyone was.  Unfortunately I can't see Ireland getting out of this slump any time soon.  We have an office in Toronto but Im holding out for Van City.  Fingers Crossed!!  I'd love an adventure!!

On a positive note I got some really awesome hair extensions from the UK for a measly 15 quid.  Last night I looked like Ariel (could have been the 10 or so drinks).  They're synthetic hair, but at that price who can argue?!  I highly recommend :) http://stores.ebay.ie/swishhairextensions

A-Wear are having a mega awesome sale at the moment :)  I picked me up some lovely dresses on the mega cheap.  I can't find them on their site but they're beautiful.  Also Converse are €40-odd in Schuh and €60 in Office FYI.

But the biggest and best of al is that my shoe prayers were answered by the Jeffrey Campbell Gods.  The Vita is back in stock and you can place your order at convertstyle.com.  I went for the classic Vegan Lita (Vita) and they are arriving in June, custom made for ME!

If you don't fancy saving for a pair of Litas, you can purchase a nice look-a-like in that knacker little shop next to Argos in the Ilac centre.  35 blips a pop!

Anyway - here's a bunch of dickhead Instagram pictures because I can finally use it!!!
