Fish EYE!

I must say that I'm very impressed with my new lens! An 8mm fisheye with about 160' view.  I haven't quite got the manual focus down yet but all in time my precious.  I bought it for myself for my birthday which is TOMORROW!!!!

Every year for my birthday I treat myself to something expensive - last year was a full STD screening!!  (I came back clear). With Finals getting me totally down this year, I went a little overboard.

Fish Eye Lens - E257
Hair - The Art Team - Elite Hair - E109
Clothes - E50
Beauticians - E130
Microdermabrasions - E35 :]
Total: E581.... ouch - I didn't realise it was that much...

The beauticians was great and totally worth it. I got an eyelash and eyebrow tint, eyebrow shape, back massage, my nails done (feet included - EWWWWWWWW) and the necessary waxing of course!!  I go to Let's Face It in Artaine and they are fantastic.  My mum's been going there for years so naturally enough I've carried on the tradition :]

I got my hair do in The Art Team on Grafton St.  I told him I wanted to go brown and keep it long and somehow walked out with a shaved purple head.. Hmmmm.  It's nice though.  He did cover my face in fecking colour though - I had to ask for stain remover!!

Other than that - I couldn't find the clothes I wanted in Topshop so I bought a little cute top and a pair of E13 jeans from H&M :]

Happy out :]

Finals are going pretty badly at the moment.  Total bummer.  I can't wait to just get out of this country!  No word on a job yet and I'm pretty sure that with ZERO experience, I won't get one :[  There are a few technical internships for a minimum of 3 months abroad in China, Malaysia, India etc which I'm going to apply for.  However, I need to be back for mid September to start DCU, provided I get in of course...  I'd need to get my shots, visa and flights sorted and I don't know if I'll have that done by mid June.  I'd be pretty stoked if I could find a 6-week job.  ***Fingers Crossed***

  1. How was your dermabrasion? What products did she use? So jealous of all your treatments. I treated myself to a pedi for my birthday. It was done terribly, but relaxing none the less! So jealous of all your money spending too, I bought myself a bike for my birthday though and have no money left and no bike yet!

Good luck with the rest of your exams, and dcu. Hoping to do a postgrad there too (next year obv) you've have to let me know how you get on WHEN you get it. Also, If you walk down Wicklow street there are about 3/4 shops in a row with job sign in the window... (well there were) Are you not still working in the olymipia?

  3. OMG Jobs? Saweet - I kinda mean careers but at this point I wil take any job! Technically I'm still on the books in the Oly, but my Doc reckons it'll be another few months before I can go back to bar work with the auld shoulder :[ I'll deffo pop my CV in though!

I haven't a notion what she used for the Microdermabrasion but I got it done in Blue Moon Salon in Malahide. It was 35e on a Boards.ie deal so I bought 2. I wouldn't really recommend the place - they market themselves as a Spa type place, yet they had Joe Duffy BLARING! How are you supposed to relax with that? They also had wooden floors and the place was very boomy, if you catch my drift . For 35e I wasn't complaining, but I did make point of not getting anything else done there. I went ALLLLLLLLL the way back to my usual place for all the other treatments.

RAGE on the bike though - are you going to cycle allll the way in from Saggart everyday? Crazy woman. It'll arrive. Oh it's your birthday too!! Next weekend? HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I will let you know how DCU is going - what you thinking of doing? They have a full photo studio there. woop woop!!
