The Natural Look

What have I learned so far in my make up course?
"It's it big, shade it.  If it's small, highlight it.
  1. Primer
  2. Foundation applied with a Due Fibre Brush - match colour to jaw line & build up lightly
  3. Concealer:
    • Liquid under eyes applied gently
    • Thicker cream/wax based concealer to cover blemishes - stippling motion. Dab leftovers into hair line
  4. Translucent powder to set base.  Apply until skin is no longer 'tacky.'
  5. Highlight 'C' around outer eyes
  6. Contouring: Use matte bronser/shader.  Apply under cheekbones on temples & jaw line
  7. Blusher: Apply to apples of cheeks.
  8. Eye brows:  Draw with an angled brush in light, small strokes.  See photo below for guide.
  9. Eyes:
    • Apply matte base (Brulé in Mac) with larger brush (Mac 227)
    • Apply medium brown matte eyeshadow to socket line using a smaller brush (Mac 217)
    • Use a bare brush to blend in circuler motions over the eyelid (Mac 224)
    • Add more highlighter to inner corners
    • White eyeliner inside eye on water line
    • Apply mascara - apparently the best is the old tried and tested pink and green one from Mabeleine.
  10. Lipgloss - a light natural tones one.

  1. My sister has two Kevin Aucoin books. They're incredible. I'd highly recommend them.
