HWCH 2011 & other stuff

The Hard Working Class Heroes Festival was on this weekend.  They occupy 6 venues over 3 days across Dublin and for 47e, the city is your playground.  I only made it to the Saturday night line-up in the Workmans Club for a tenner, but it was fabulous!  The Danger is... , Cloud Castle Lake, Moths, The Last Days of 1984 & Tierannasaur all played SELLAR sets.  As I'd only heard Moths & CCL before I was genuinely impressed by the rest of the line-up.  Nialler9 has never once set me wrong.  Unfortunately himself was there, standing right beside me of course.  With a bit of careful crowd manipulation, I don't think he saw me.  I thought I handled it quite well - I didn't run away in a flood of tears this time. But hey, tomorrow I get to cycle by his apartment for another whole other 5 days.  No, the 17:45 panic attacks are not getting any easier to deal with!  I just really miss him. Even after everything, I still do.  I hope this goes away.
My lovely new friend from work also came along and we found a fake Luas just sitting on the quays.  Naturally enough we jumped in and pretended to drive. Apparently they were shooting a Bollywood movie. Oops.

Here's the bands!  Check em out.

Smoking:  As of today, I am no longer a smoker.  I must not take up eating instead of smoking.
Plan:  I must cycle to work at least twice a week & attend bootcamp twice a week.  Should I be unable to cycle (wind, rain etc), I must do 25 minutes on the stepper 3 mornings a week. I prefer the stepper to be honest.  Ugh Bootcamp tonight... well Caoimhe & Kevin's version of bootcamp.  We must not end up ruining all of our hard work by eating tonight!. We must complete the circuit. I'm pretty sure that this will kill me.

I did my first sunbed yesterday (don't hurt me).  Myself & Jenner went to The Tanning Shop on the quays and I'm no longer a ghostly shade of pale blue. Hurray!  I was only allowed do 4 minutes because I'm whiter than white but I feel much better about myself now. I'm just white now! 4 minutes is equivalent to about 2 hours in the sun.  Jenny did 8mins which is about 4 hours.  It seems like a good place, they took our details and made a profile so they'd know if we came in too often.  The first place was this mad Polish place on Moore St who were more than happy to let Jenns stay on for 15mins!  I'lll go back during the week and probably twice more until I have a slight tan. Then I will be happy!

On another note, here is the view from my window, recorded last Thursday by my colleague, Micheal.

Anyone need a roommate?  I want to live in IFSC and no one will move out with me!
